Meet die Mannschaft!

  • Holger Badstuber | Defender | Number 14

Holger is a player who always wants to learn. He can play both positions on very high standard.“

Holger Badstuber in six words.

To get and stay fit so I can play football again – that’s all I want for myself.

That was really helpful. We talked a lot about old times and helped each other out. I think we all benefited from that coincidence. And now I know everything about knee injuries. (smiles)

No, I never had any doubts. I can’t even remember going through a really bad patch. After the second tear I did say to myself: OK, everything’s just been put back a bit. I was always fully convinced I’d get fully fit again. The doctors kept telling me that. So I never doubted I would make a full recovery.

"I wish Bastian, that he keeps his shape and will still be a key player for Bayern and the national team for a long time. Basti and I know each other since I trained with the first team of Bayern for the first time a few years ago. Our first meeting outside the training grounds was in a bar: I had a drink with a buddy. Basti also happened to be there, came up to me and said jokingly that it’s time for me to go home now. It was not even late! *laughs* I wish Basti that he stays injury free - then he can also break the 150 games record."
